Luisa Alemany is an esteemed academic and practitioner in the fields of management and entrepreneurial finance, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Management Practice and Academic Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship & Private Capital at London Business School since October 2019. Luisa holds several influential positions, including Board Member of the Newton Venture Program and member of the Investment Committees for Oxfam and Fond-ICO Next Tech. With a rich background, Luisa has also contributed to various institutions such as the FMO Advisory Council for Venture Fund and Aldea Ventures' Investment Advisory Board. Previous roles include Associate Professor of Entrepreneurial Finance at Esade and a Senior Associate at The Carlyle Group. Academically, Luisa holds an MBA from Stanford University, a PhD in Finance from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and has participated in exchange programs in business administration at Royal Holloway, University of London, and Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
