El IIS Galicia Sur es un espacio de investigación multidisciplinar en Biomedicina, con sede en el Hospital Álvaro Cunqueiro de Vigo, que aglutina a los grupos de investigación clínicos de las Áreas Sanitarias del Sur de Galicia (Vigo, Ourense y Pontevedra) y a los grupos biomédicos de la Universidad de Vigo, con el objetivo de promover la investigación traslacional y la innovación, garantizando así la aplicación efectiva de los resultados de investigación en términos de beneficios para la salud de los ciudadanos.
