David Fernandes

David Fernandes is a seasoned researcher with a focus on manipulating light emission and propagation in nanoscale nonlinear and quantum metamaterials. With a long tenure at Instituto de Telecomunicações since September 2005, David has held positions as a postdoctoral researcher and PhD student. At Universidade de Coimbra, David currently serves as a PhD student and has previously contributed as an invited professor and teaching assistant, supporting various courses related to electronics, programming, and electrotechnics. David holds a PhD in Electric and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Telecommunications, obtained from Universidade de Coimbra in 2015, and a Master's degree in Electrical and Electrotechnical Engineering from the same institution, completed in 2009.
