Mario Freire

Mario Freire has extensive academic and research experience, currently serving as a Full Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Beira Interior since October 1994. Prior titles include Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Teaching Assistant at the same institution, alongside a role as a Senior Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações. Mario Freire began a career in research as a Trainee at Nokia in April 1993, after completing a Habilitation title in Computer Science, a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Science in Systems and Automation, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from reputable Portuguese universities.
