Gonzalo Tomarelli Rubio

Gonzalo Tomarelli Rubio is an Industrial Civil Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and a Master of Arts in Economics from New York University. He has a track record of more than 15 years in management in technical professional higher education institutions. In addition, extensive experience in the design, construction and start-up of academic centers and units. Until 2012 he held the position of pro-rector of the DuocUC Professional Institute.

At the union level, between 2010 and 2012 he held the position of Executive Secretary of the Council of rectors of accredited IPs and CFTs. He was also a member of the board of directors of the Chilean Construction Institute in the period 2006-2010, and was part of the board of the Chilecalifica Program.

He has also worked as an advisor to the Chilean Ministry of Education for the Mecesup program. In the field of quality assurance, he has participated in various processes and teams of peers of the National Accreditation Commission in Chile. He has also served as an international peer reviewer at the ACCE Agency in the United States.
