Kristin Damberger has several years of work experience in the education field. Kristin currently works as a Consultant-Faculty Coach at Instructional Empowerment since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Learning Coach at The International School Nido de Aguilas from July 2020 to June 2023. From July 2018 to June 2020, they were an Associate Division Head-Secondary at Avenues: The World School. Kristin also worked at the International School of Beijing as a Futures Academy Math/Science Facilitator/G8 Team Leader from July 2015 to June 2018. In addition, they worked at Beijing International Bilingual Academy as a Curriculum Director and Professional Development Coordinator from January 2012 to June 2015, and also as a Middle School and High School Student Leadership Advisor from August 2009 to June 2014. Kristin was a Middle School Lead at the same school from August 2010 to June 2013. Prior to that, Kristin was a Science Teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade, and an English Language Arts Teacher for 7th Grade at Beijing International Bilingual Academy from August 2009 to July 2012. Kristin started their teaching career at Palm Springs Unified School District as a Teacher for 6th Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies from August 2006 to July 2009. Kristin also worked as a Club Volleyball Coach at Desert Sports Center from November 2007 to June 2009, and as a Junior Varsity Head and Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach at Palm Springs Unified School District from January 2007 to January 2009. Kristin began their teaching journey as a Student Teacher for 5th Grade at St. Nicolas C of E Primary School from January 2006 to June 2006.
Kristin Damberger has a diverse and extensive education history. In 2006, they obtained a Montana Educator License with a K-12 ELL Endorsement from the Montana Office of Public Instruction. Following this, from 2002 to 2006, they attended Montana State University-Bozeman, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Education. During their time at Montana State University-Bozeman, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology.
In 2007, Kristin furthered their education by obtaining a Gifted and Talented Education certification from the Palm Springs Unified School District. Additionally, they acquired a Cross Cultural Language Acquisition and Development certification from the California Department of Education.
In 2007, Kristin began their Master of Education (M.Ed.) program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, specializing in Global Education Policy. Kristin completed this program in 2009.
Continuing their pursuit of knowledge and professional development, Kristin obtained several additional certifications. In 2017, they completed the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol program at the Center for Applied Linguistics. In 2018, they earned a Math Specialist in International Schools certification from the US State Department Office of Overseas Schools. Most recently, Kristin obtained a Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education in July 2020.
Currently, they are attending Endicott College, pursuing a Master of Education - MEd degree with a concentration in Administrative Leadership for grades 5-12. This program started in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2022.
