Jørgen Matz

Jørgen Matz has a strong background in clinical quality and pharmacovigilance. Jørgen currently serves as the Head of Global Clinical Quality & Pharmacovigilance at Insud Pharma, where they are responsible for managing the pharmacovigilance operations across five business units. Jørgen provides strategic supervision to line managers, pharmacovigilance staff, and medical and regulatory functions. Prior to this role, Jørgen worked at H. Lundbeck A/S for over 20 years, holding various senior positions related to medical safety and risk management, global safety and pharmacovigilance, and cardiovascular sciences. Jørgen also has experience in safety pharmacology and conducted cardiovascular research during their early career at The William Harvey Research Institute.

Jørgen Matz completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Pharmacy from the University of Copenhagen in 1993. Jørgen then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the same university from 1993 to 1997. Later, from 2013 to 2015, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacovigilance from the University of Portsmouth.
