Marta Higuera

Marta Higuera has a diverse range of work experience. Marta is currently serving as the AI Labs Director at Insud Pharma since August 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Fractional Exec and Project Leader for Corporates and Start-ups starting from April 2023. Marta also has experience as an Angel Investor, having invested in over 15 early stage and growth start-ups across multiple industries and regions since July 2022.

In terms of leadership roles, Marta served as the Chair and co-Founder/CEO of OpenAgent, a property buying and selling platform, from February 2020 to the present. Additionally, they held the position of Managing Director & Partner at BCG Digital Ventures, a corporate venture builder established by Boston Consulting Group, from 2020 to 2023.

Marta has also held various board positions, including being a Board Member at Heads Over Heels from 2020 to December 2022, and a Board Observer and Non Executive Director at propper from July 2017 to 2022. Furthermore, they have served as a Startup Mentor at the Founder Institute since 2018.

In addition to their professional roles, Marta took a break in 2012 to pursue a sailing adventure in the Mediterranean. During this time, they sailed from Corfu, Greece to Fethiye, Turkey, covering 2000 nautical miles in 150 days.

Marta Higuera holds an MBA degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed an MS degree in Physics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 2000 to 2001 and another MS degree in Physics at Imperial College London from 1999 to 2000. Marta'sundergraduate education includes a period from 1996 to 1999 at Universidad de Cantabria, where they focused on Physics.
