Sara Adhami has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Sara started their career as a Clinical Dietician at Mediclinic in 2008, where they played a role in setting up the Nutrition and Dietetics department. Sara then worked at the University of Sydney as a Clinical Dietetics Educator, providing guidance and supervision to undergraduate and masters students. Sara also worked as a Consultant Accredited Dietitian and Credentialed Diabetes Educator at Inner West Specialist Center, focusing on patients with various conditions such as PCOS, pre-diabetes, and gestational diabetes. Sara further expanded their expertise by taking on roles as a Diabetes Educator for Sanofi and Novo Nordisk, providing individualized care to patients commencing insulin or anti-obesity drug therapy. Sara later joined NSW Health as a Senior Dietitian, primarily specializing in diabetes. Sara also worked as a Diabetes Consultant for Project HOPE, providing support, education, and training for a diabetes care program. Currently, Sara is a Clinical Care Lead at Insulet International, utilizing their experience to deliver patient-centered care.

Sara Adhami completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons in Nutrition and dietetics at The University of Sydney from 2000 to 2004. In 2008 to 2009, they pursued a Post Grad certificate in diabetes education at Curtin University. Sara also obtained additional certifications such as Advanced carb counting for pumps and Medtronic Minimed 640G insulin pump training. Sara holds credentials as a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) and an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).
