Nelson Chan

Nelson Chan, MBA, FCPA, FCMA, holds an extensive leadership role in financial management and governance across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chair of the Audit Committee on the Board of Directors for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia since April 2025, Nelson also functions as the Chief Financial Officer for the Capital Regional District, Capital Regional Hospital District, and Capital Region Housing Corporation, all from 2016 to the present. Additional contributions include membership on the Admission and Standards Appeal Committee of the CPA Western School of Business and the Board of Governors for the CPA Education Foundation. Nelson previously served as Chair & Chancellor at Royal Roads University until August 2025 and as a Board member for organizations such as the BC Government House Foundation and Community Living BC. Nelson's academic credentials include an MBA from Florida Metropolitan University and various leadership development programs from prestigious institutions.
