Andrew Dawson

Andrew Dawson is the current NSW/QLD State Manager at Insurance House Group. Prior to this, they were the National Client Development Leader - FINPRO at Marsh Australia from September 2016 to March 2019. In this role, they were responsible for developing, maintaining and driving the sales plan for FINPRO Australia, as well as identifying and developing new and expanded business opportunities for FINPRO. Andrew also achieved agreed sales targets for the practice and managed key accounts introduced.

From September 2006 to August 2016, Dawson was the VIC State Manager - FINEX Australasia at Willis Towers Watson Australia. In this role, they were responsible for the management of Willis' financial lines business in Victoria, including responsibility for all claim, service and placement activity for financial lines policies. Andrew also led a team of 9 individuals and was responsible for their team development and coaching, annual budget development and long-term planning, achievement of year-on-year growth targets, team portfolio oversight, and stewardship of Top 20 accounts. Additionally, they were responsible for business review and restructuring to drive profitable growth in changing and challenging market conditions, as well as the development and implementation of a number of panel, scheme and facility arrangements, both in Victoria and nationally.

Dawson has personal advocacy and responsibility for the insurance and risk management needs of large financial lines accounts. Andrew has expertise in Financial Institutions, Top 100 D&O and Construction Professionals.

Andrew Dawson has a Graduate Diploma of Financial Services from ANZIIF and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from The University of Auckland in Accounting and Economics.
