John Woods

John Woods is an experienced technology and information security professional currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at the Insurance Office of America since May 2019, where John also held roles as Vice President of Enterprise Systems and Head of Information Security. In addition, John has been an Advisory Board Member at Apexa iQ® since September 2023. Prior to this, John worked at EY from July 2017 to June 2019 as a Manager in Risk Advisory focused on Cyber Security, where responsibilities included leading teams and delivering security engagements. John's earlier positions include Information Security Manager at Liberty Insurance Ireland, Senior Infrastructure & Security Analyst and ICT Administrator at Hughes Insurance, and Customer Service Advisor at Teleperformance. John holds an Advanced Diploma in Management Practice and a Higher National Diploma in Computing & Systems Development from Ulster University and South Eastern Regional College respectively.
