Darren Thompson

Darren Thompson has been working in the software engineering field since 2009. In 2009, they began working as a Programming Mentor for M.M. Rambotics, where they provided mentorship for high school students in the development of control systems for a student-built robot. In 2013, they became the CTO of MoveSuite, where they designed, developed, deployed and managed a SaaS product to automate the address change process in Canada. In 2014, they worked as a Software Developer for WatchFirstNow, where they developed, designed and deployed a web application for viewing live and archived F.I. In 2015, they became a Web Application Developer for Zenbanx, where they built novel interactive JS components for the web and mobile applications. In 2017, they began working as a Web Application Developer for SoFi, where they led a team of 3 front-end developers to build a banking web platform. Darren also joined theScore as a Full Stack Engineer, Platforms Team and Team Lead, Payments. In 2020, they became Engineering Manager at Swyft. In 2021, they became Director of Software Development at AcordPay and in 2022, they became Director Of Engineering - Payments at InsurePay.

Darren Thompson attended McMaster University from 2009 to 2013.
