Brian Murtari

Vice President, Information Technology at INSURITAS

Brian Murtari has over 30 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Brian is currently serving as the Vice President of Information Technology at INSURITAS since June 2021. Prior to this, Brian held the position of Vice President of Services at Cloud 9 ERP Solutions from 2020 to 2021.

Brian's longest tenure was as the Chief Information Officer at Wireless Zone LLC, where they oversaw technology and customer service for a corporate and franchise system of over 2200 users and 400 retail locations. Brian maintained security and compliance, managed infrastructure and governance, and implemented technology solutions to meet business goals. Brian worked at Wireless Zone LLC from 2006 to 2020.

Before joining Wireless Zone LLC, Brian worked at Thales Broadcast and Multimedia, Inc. from 1999 to 2006, initially serving as the Director of Information Technology. Brian was responsible for developing an IT strategy to meet organizational goals and overseeing the buildout of a new data center in Malaysia. Brian also held the position of Country IS Director for North America, where they managed information systems initiatives and compliance for the subsidiaries.

Brian's earlier work experience includes roles as a Network Consultant at NYCONN Data Systems, Senior Network Engineer at Computer Science Corporation, and Network Engineer at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Brian started their career as a Network Administrator in the Connecticut Air National Guard.

Overall, Brian has a diverse background in information technology, with extensive experience in leadership, strategic planning, project management, and infrastructure management.

Brian Murtari obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Central Connecticut State University from 1990 to 1995. Brian has also obtained various certifications, including Brand Ambassador from Make-A-Wish® Connecticut in 2021, Certified Franchise Executive from IFA Global Foundation in 2019, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) from Microsoft Certifications in 1998.
