Joel Martin

Community Coordinator at Integra ServiceConnect

Joel Martin has a long history of experience in the social services field. Joel began their career in 1996 as an Intensive Case Manager at Mercy Behavioral Health. In this role, they were responsible for completing comprehensive assessments, providing telephone and mobile crisis intervention, and interacting with and having knowledge of Allegheny County Mental Health guideline policies and procedures. In 2002, they moved to Chartiers Communities MH/MR as a Blended & Acute Adult Service Coordinator, where they assisted targeted adults with serious and persistent mental illness and their families in accessing services, building support networks, and resolving conflicts. Joel also developed and implemented comprehensive individualized service plans and coordinated treatment services. In 2012, Joel joined Integra ServiceConnect, LLC as a Community Coordinator, and also began working at St. Joseph's House of Hospitality as a Case Worker. At St. Joseph's House of Hospitality, they provided case management and service planning for assigned clients, client intake and assessment, and on-going casework and support services to clients. Finally, they also held the role of Residential Counselor III at Mercy Behavioral Health, where they were responsible for case management of 2-5 persistently mentally ill adults, coordinating supports, resources, and services, and placing and assisting consumers in vocational environments.

Joel Martin began their educational journey in 1983 when they graduated from Greater Johnstown High School with a Diploma from the Vocational High School and Secondary Business/Vocational-Industrial/Occupational Diploma Program. Joel then attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In 2011, they obtained an Adult Behavioral Health Coordinator certification from the University of Pittsburgh.
