Affiliate Research Scientist at Integrated Behavioral Health Research Institute

DeAris Hoard, PhD, has extensive experience in law enforcement and academia. Currently serving as a Police Training Officer at Louisville Metro Government since June 2013, DeAris is responsible for mentoring and training new officers. Previous roles within the same organization include Police Officer and Homicide Detective, where DeAris investigated serious criminal cases. In addition to law enforcement, DeAris contributes to academic communities as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Eastern New Mexico University, as well as an Adjunct Faculty member at Franklin University and Contributing Faculty at Walden University. DeAris also serves as an Academic Writing Coach and Editor for Heartful Editor and holds a position as an Affiliate Research Scientist at the Integrative Behavioral Health Research Institute. DeAris earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice from Walden University and holds a Master of Science and Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
