Ákos Gyimesi

Ákos Gyimesi has over 12 years of experience in software engineering, starting in 2006 with Simbelmyne Ltd. as a Web Developer. Ákos then moved to IBM Cloud Video (Ustream) in 2008, where they served as an iPhone Developer, Lead Mobile Architect, Mobile Streaming Lead, and Transcoding Team Lead. In 2017, they joined IBM Watson Media as a Cognitive Video Team Lead and Watson Media Tech Lead. In 2018, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for Integrated Digital Solutions, Inc., designing and implementing a highly parallelized video transcoding and quality control system using AWS serverless technologies. Additionally, they worked as a Professional Freelancer for Toptal.

Ákos Gyimesi obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics between 2002 and 2007. Ákos then absolved a Teacher of Engineering program at the same university between 2007 and 2009. In 2020, they obtained two certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS): an AWS Certified Developer - Associate in September and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in July.
