Nakhiel Akaloo

Nakhiel Akaloo has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and project management. They have worked for Integrated Global Services as a Commercial Operations Lead and Project Management Office, where they worked on determining client/project goals and conducting market research. They also worked as a Project Engineer, coordinating and executing projects.

Prior to that, Nakhiel worked for Aveng Grinaker LTA as a Mechanical Engineer and Welding Supervisor. In their role as a Mechanical Engineer, they managed the Engineering Department and performed tasks such as creating method statements, material take-offs, and evaluating engineering change notices. They also supervised the Welding Department, ensuring welder qualifications and controlling all welding procedures.

Nakhiel Akaloo studied at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2017, they attended the Southern African Institute of Welding (SAIW) and completed a diploma in International Welding Inspection Basic Level (IWIP).
