Job Description: The Corporate Project Management Office seeks a Senior Business Analyst to work on an in flight Field Data Capture Software Upgrade. Key deliverables of this project include the modernisation of software customisation, integrations, and implementation of any new functionality. The successful candidate will work as part of a high-performing team to research and document business requirements and help contribute to other deliverables to complete the project successfully.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively towards the project objectives under the direction of the Project Manager and Technical Lead
- Lead and participate in process reviews (or creation or updating of associated documentation), working with stakeholders
- Ensure timely and effective gathering of functional requirements and business input
- Creation of requirements documentation
- Assist with ensuring project deliverables are met on time and with sufficient quality
- Work with the Technical Lead, Business SME and QA Lead to provide business knowledge and business support to the project team
- Support the project team in the facilitation of conversations between business operations stakeholders and the project team
- Participate in standards and process creation, reviews, updates, development and documentation
- Deliver and participate in standards, policies or process education and awareness
- Successfully engage, drive and facilitate multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously
- Work independently with users or business stakeholders to define concepts or workflows and under the direction of project managers
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
- Support the project team in maintaining the technical vision and analyzing trade-offs between usability and performance needs
- Assist with Quality Assurance and additional Testing tasks or documentation
- Provide leadership or mentorship to other BAs or business users as the project evolves

Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- 5-10 years of demonstrated working experience in a Business Analyst role
- Exceptional skills in effectively managing multiple tasks, often under pressure and within rigid time constraints
- Experience working with Field data Capture systems in the Energy industry
- Exceptional skills in documenting requirement
- Oil & Gas software experience –an asset
- Certification/Education/Training:
- IIBA Certified Business Analysis (IIBA-CBAP) – an asset
- Business Process Management: an asset
