Naira Hovakimyan

Naira Hovakimyan is currently the Director at the Center of Autonomous Vehicles In Air Transportation Engineering (AVIATE). Naira is also the Co-founder and Chief Scientist at IntelinAir. Previously, Naira held various academic positions such as the W. Grafton and Lillian B. Wilkins Professor of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Professor at Virginia Tech. Before their academic career, Naira was a Research Scientist at the Armenian Academy of Sciences. Hovakimyan holds a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics from the Institute of Applied Mathematics, Russian Academy of Sciences, and a Master's Degree in Theoretical mechanics and applied mathematics from Yerevan State University.
