Steve Smith

Steve Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Steve currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Business and Strategy at Intellectual Technology, Inc. which they started in November 2022. Previously, Steve served as the Director of Corporate Development at the same company from January 2022 to November 2022.

Prior to that, Steve worked at Capital One as a Senior Manager, Business Development from February 2018 to December 2021. Steve was responsible for driving business growth and development initiatives.

Before joining Capital One, Steve was associated with ID.me where they held the positions of Director of Strategic Partnerships from May 2015 to February 2018 and Senior Manager, Business Development from September 2014 to May 2015.

Steve also worked at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a Senior Policy Analyst from August 2013 to September 2014. Steve gained additional experience at the U.S.-Russia Business Council where they worked as Membership and Research from January 2011 to May 2012.

Furthermore, Steve served as a Consultant at USAID Serbia Competitiveness Project/Booz Allen Hamilton for a brief period in July 2010.

Steve's career started in the US Army where they held the rank of Captain from June 2005 to July 2009.

Steve Smith earned a BA in History and Russian Language from the University of Florida in 2005. Steve then pursued an MBA/MA in Business Administration and International Affairs from The George Washington University, completing their studies in 2013. In 2012, Steve participated in the Summer Russian Language Program at Middlebury College and also studied International Relations and Affairs at the European University at Saint Petersburg.
