Chief Technologist, Deep Science Fund And Enterprise Science Fund at Intellectual Ventures

Anne Fischer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Anne is currently the Chief Technologist at Intellectual Ventures, where they oversee the Deep Science Fund and Enterprise Science Fund. Prior to this, Anne held various roles at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), including Deputy Director and Acting Deputy Director of the Defense Sciences Office, as well as a Program Manager. Before their time at DARPA, Anne worked as an Advisory Scientist at Strategic Analysis Incorporated, providing strategic guidance and technical analyses on research programs in the Defense Sciences Office. Anne also has experience as a Senior Staff Scientist at Nova Research Inc., a Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the National Science Foundation, and a National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Naval Research Laboratory.

Anne Fischer earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from The College of Wooster, which they attended from 1997 to 2001. Anne then pursued further education at Michigan State University, where they obtained their PhD in Chemistry, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005.
