Alexandra Haagensen

Dr. Alexandra Haagensen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of medicine. Alexandra currently holds the position of Senior Medical Director at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Medical Director at Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2021 to 2022, and as a Medical Director from 2020 to 2021.

Dr. Haagensen also has experience as an Associate Medical Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2017 to 2020. Alexandra started their career as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School in 2015 and served in this role until 2017. Before that, they worked as an Attending Physician at Boston Children's Hospital for a substantial duration from 1997 to 2017.

Alexandra Haagensen, MD, MBA received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Harvard University in 1992. Alexandra then went on to complete their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at Harvard Medical School between 1992 and 1997.
