Sam Maurer

Sam Maurer started working as a Research Intern at Bayer CropScience in June 2006, where they analyzed animal excreta to determine pesticide toxicity. They conducted their work entirely in German. From August 2007 to December 2012, Sam Maurer worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley. They then joined MIT as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from August 2004 to June 2007. In March 2013, Sam Maurer became a Staff Chemical Engineer at Siluria Technologies, Inc. They worked there until November 2016 when they joined International Flavors & Fragrances as a Senior Engineer. Sam Maurer's most recent position is as a Principal Process Development Engineer at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc, starting in August 2022.

Sam Maurer has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2007.
