Nicholas Hamel is a seasoned professional in manufacturing automation with extensive experience in design, engineering, and implementation. Currently serving as the Manager of Manufacturing Automation at Intelligent City since September 2020, Nicholas oversees the automation workflows for manufacturing technology platforms, focusing on software workflows and mechanical design of robotic tooling. Prior to this role, Nicholas held positions as Manufacturing Automation Lead and worked on parametric design and advanced software development at Studio North Inc., as well as serving as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Integrative Design. Nicholas also gained experience as a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern at Pason. Nicholas holds a Master of Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture from the University of Calgary, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
