Gregor Millar

Gregor Millar has extensive work experience in engineering and project management roles. Gregor is currently working as a Senior Project Manager at IGS Limited, where they manage multiple international projects related to controlled environment agriculture vertical farming solutions. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Hamilton PMO, providing project management services to the oil and gas, maritime, and shipping industries. Gregor also has experience as an Engineering Manager at BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, where they led a project team and ensured compliance with engineering assurance and product safety regulations. Gregor has also operated their own consultancy company, GDM Resources, providing engineering and project management services to multinational companies. Gregor has worked in various roles at BAE Systems, including as an Engineering Project Manager, where they managed ship re-fit and modification projects, and as a Shipyard Consultant at Royal HaskoningDHV, where they provided consultancy guidance for the design of a naval maintenance facility. Earlier in their career, Gregor served in the Royal Navy for 24 years, holding positions such as Warrant Officer - Weapon / Combat System Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager for the Single Role Minehunter (SRMH) global fleet, and Head of Training in Weapons Engineering for Mine-warfare and Patrol Vessels (MPV). Gregor has extensive experience in managing teams, ensuring equipment availability and reliability, and conducting training initiatives.

Gregor Millar obtained a Higher National Certificate in Engineering from HMS Collingwood, Royal Navy School of Weapon Engineering in 1993. Gregor then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The Open University between 2000 and 2004. In 2011, Gregor pursued a Master's Degree in Engineering and Management, specializing in MSc, from the University of Portsmouth, completing their studies in 2012. Furthermore, they have acquired various additional certifications, including the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) from the Association for Project Management in October 2021, the Chartered Manager certification from the Chartered Management Institute in October 2019, the ITIL Foundation certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in September 2016, and the Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org in August 2016. Moreover, Gregor has obtained several certifications in project management, business development, and Microsoft Project through LinkedIn, with completion dates ranging from August to October 2021.
