Matthew Powell

Matthew Powell has extensive work experience in the security and transportation industries. Matthew is currently the Managing Director at ISS - Intelligent Security Systems since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Convergint as a Principal, focusing on Infrastructure & Construction Management and Transportation Markets from March 2015 to June 2022. Before joining Convergint, Matthew held the position of Transportation Vertical Market Manager at Moog Inc. from August 2007 to March 2015. Matthew was responsible for leading ITS and Smart City product development and VMS integration for various transportation applications. Matthew Powell's education history begins in 1996 when they enrolled in Kennesaw State University. Matthew pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Criminology, completing their studies in 2001. In the same year, they obtained a Security Specialist Certification from ISPS, A. A. Kadochnikov School in Krasnodar, Russia.

From 2001 to 2004, Matthew attended the A. A. Kadochnikov School/International Academy of Personal Safety, where they obtained a Certification in Personal and Site Security as well as Disaster Preparedness.

In 2002, Matthew pursued a PDS Certification in Executive Protection, Site Security, and related disciplines from Threat Management Consultants, which they completed in 2004.

Additional certifications include the Close Protection Security Specialist (CPSS) Certification from Threat Management Consultants, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
