Adria W. Hunter, MA, has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Adria W. started their career as a Crossroads Volunteer at Operation Crossroads Africa in 2000. From there, they worked as a Registrar, Learning Opportunities at United Way of America between 2001 and 2003.

In 2005, Adria joined The Brookings Institution as a Research Assistant (Temporary) in the Foreign Policy department. Adria W. then moved on to United BioSource Corporation, where they held multiple roles, including Research Assistant, Project Manager/Research Associate, and Business Development Analyst. Adria W. worked at United BioSource Corporation from 2005 to 2011.

In 2011, Adria became a Loaned Executive at United Way of Central Indiana for a brief period. Adria W. then joined the Indiana Association of United Ways as an SECC Coordinator from 2012 to 2013. During this time, they also worked as a Resource Development Associate at Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis.

From 2018 to 2020, Adria worked at Center on Halsted. Adria W. initially held the position of Development Officer from 2018 to 2019 and then served as the Corporate Relations Manager from 2019 to 2020.

After this, they continued their academic pursuits at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2003 to 2005. There, Adria W. Hunter earned a Master of Arts degree in Development Studies, specializing in this field of study.
