Dan Clay has been working in the field of education since 2010, when they began their role as Dean of the College of Education at the University of Missouri. In 2016, they moved to the University of Iowa, where they served as Dean of the College of Education until 2018. In 2018, they co-founded, became a board member and owner of IntelliSee, a Series A funded spinout of the University of Iowa Technology Institute. Their role at IntelliSee involves leading the organization in bringing AI technology built with the U.S. Department of Defense to the private sector as part of both organizations' research missions.
Dan Clay attended The College of St. Scholastica, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1989. Dan then went on to the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology in 1994. In 2008, they completed a Management Development Program at Harvard University. Finally, they returned to the University of Missouri-Columbia to earn a Master of Business Administration in 2015.
