Role Summary

As a Medical Recovery Services Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing a team of individuals and monitoring the recovery performance goals by leading, motivating, and driving the Recovery Team. The role is an opportunity to develop and grow a newly created team mixed with seasoned and new employees with both established and new responsibilities, while assisting in the implementation of the department’s strategic roadmap.

This role is an on-site position in St. Louis, MO. 

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate team culture that encourages teamwork, morale, and performance

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all billing and/or accounts receivable (AR) follow-up functions related to motor vehicle, TPL, and/or worker’s compensation claims (team assignment dependent)

  • Manage day-to-day performance and output of 10 to 15 direct reports

  • Collaborate with Performance Managers and operations leads to define strategic roadmap and execute on initiatives

  • Design, implement, and maintain auditing and training solutions

  • Investigate escalated files/events to identify recovery potential and troubleshoot blocking items

  • Apply proper maintenance and file handling procedures in accordance with Operations, Compliance and Quality Control standards

  • Design and implement corrective action plans

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related field or equivalent experience

  • 2-4 years of progressive provider revenue cycle and/or revenue cycle vendor experience (past client facing roles preferred but not required), as well as experience and knowledge on how to implement a change in a process that impacts 15+ people

  • People management experience, ability to communicate clearly and lead a team

  • Experience working with health information/electronic medical records systems

  • Experience managing remote, onsite, and offshore teams

  • Working knowledge of revenue cycle metrics and key performance indicators

  • Experience with coaching and training employees is required

  • The ability to motivate and develop others to consistently achieve goals

  • Proven experience in managing the fine details of work but also know how to talk big picture

  • Knowledge of how to use data to guide decisions and performance
