Sara de Román Pérez

Sara de Román Pérez has a strong background in legal counsel, specializing in business development in the field of Web 3.0, virtual economy, DAOs, decentralization, Metaverse, blockchain, and disruptive technologies. Sara currently holds the position of General Counsel at Metacampus, providing legal advice in these areas. Sara has also worked as a Lecturer in IP/IT & New Technologies at Universitat d'Alacant since 2018, and as an External Legal Counsel in Commercial and Digital Law (IP/IT, Data Protection, Technology Law) at intelygenz since 2016. Sara has served as a Lecturer in IP/IT at ISDE Law & Business School since 2020, and as a Lecturer in IP/IT/Privacy at CEF Centro de Estudios Financieros since 2017. In addition, Sara has experience as an External Legal Counsel in various organizations, including AMFRESH Group, Grupo MASMOVIL, The Power Business School, ACCIONA, and NTT Disruption, where they specialize in digital law, data protection, and new technologies.

Sara de Román Pérez has a diverse education history. In 2006, they attended Cállamo & Cran and obtained a degree in Proofreading in the Spanish language. In the same year, they enrolled at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and completed their LLM in IP Law with a focus on IP/IT Law in 2007. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2005, Sara studied at Universidad Complutense de Madrid where they earned a Law degree.

Continuing their education, in 2021, Sara returned to Cállamo & Cran to complete a Curso de lenguaje claro, enhancing their language skills. Looking ahead, they have plans to attend Legal Design School in 2023 for a Curso de experto in Derecho, demonstrating their commitment to expanding their expertise in the field.

In addition to their formal education, Sara obtained certification as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) through Thomson Reuters in February 2019.
