Alejandro Escobar

Alejandro Escobar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment and operations within the development sector. Currently serving as the Lead Investment and Operations Officer at the Inter-American Development Bank since April 2004, Alejandro manages projects and investments focused on food, agriculture, commodities, and manufacturing value chain optimization. Previously, Alejandro held the position of Global Business Analyst and Lead at DuPont, where responsibilities included developing business solutions for global demand planning and financial forecasting. Alejandro also served as Regional and Country Manager for MEDA, overseeing operations in Bolivia and Peru while leading a team focused on impact investing in microfinance and agriculture. Alejandro holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Penn State University.
