Norma Peña

Norma Peña is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in citizen security, gender and diversity, and local governance, primarily within the Inter-American Development Bank since August 2011. As a Senior Sector Specialist in the Innovation in Citizen Services Division, Peña has been instrumental in designing and implementing loan operations focused on gender and diversity in Latin America and the Caribbean. Peña's previous roles at IDB include Sector Specialist and Young Professional, addressing issues such as violence against women and the coordination of comprehensive employee training programs. Holding a Master's degree in Public Administration from New York University and a strong background in consulting roles with UNDP and other organizations, Peña has contributed significantly to initiatives promoting citizen security, knowledge management, and women's empowerment across the region.
