Oscar Farfan Mba

Oscar Farfan, MBA, MIDP, serves as the Lead Investment Officer for Strategy at IDB Lab since August 2023, where responsibilities include leading strategic initiatives, developing capital deployment strategies, structuring funding proposals, and enhancing public-private synergies in Latin America and the Caribbean. Farfan has been with the Inter-American Development Bank since February 2008, holding various positions including Senior Investment Officer and Investment Officer, where efforts involved mobilizing private funding for impact investments and structuring innovative financing vehicles. Previous roles encompass consulting positions and significant contributions to project development and evaluation across multiple organizations, including the International Finance Corporation and the International Trade Centre. Farfan holds a Master's in International Development Policy from Duke University, an MBA from the University of Birmingham, and a degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Boliviana.
