Barry Rosen has a diverse and extensive work experience. Barry started their career as the Director of the Program on Environmental Decision-making at the Institute for Urban and Regional Development in 1981. During their time there, they led an educational program focused on addressing environmental issues through collaborative methods.
After that, Barry worked as a Special Assistant to the City Manager at the City of Berkeley until 1984. Barry then joined Interaction Associates where they held various roles. Barry started as a Senior Consultant, delivering consulting and training services to global clients and facilitating strategic sessions and retreats for senior teams. Barry later became the President/CEO, where they developed and executed the company's growth strategy and guided the day-to-day management. Barry also led the sale of majority stock to a group of employee/investors. Additionally, they served as the Director of the Training Practice, where they developed training services and products and grew the training business from $2-12 million. Barry also served as a Board Director & Executive Advisor, providing advice to the executive team and recruiting and developing senior talent.
In 2011, Barry joined ZOOM Collaborate as a Partner and Leadership Coach. Barry was part of a network of independent consultants focused on helping virtual leaders and teams achieve better ROI, an enjoyable workplace experience, and a positive impact on the world.
Barry later returned to Interaction Associates in 2015 as the Chief Executive Officer. In this role, they were responsible for refreshing the company's strategy and driving growth. Interaction Associates is focused on helping leaders and teams think more clearly, collaborate more effectively, and achieve desired results.
In addition to their work at Interaction Associates, Barry also co-founded the Interaction Institute for Social Change in 1993. As a Board Member, they supported the leadership team in delivering capacity building services to leaders and organizations focused on racial justice and equity. Barry also conceptualized and provided funding for this organization, which aimed to demonstrate and disseminate collaboration skills among NGO's and social change networks. As part of their role, Barry has contributed to capacity-building projects in Israel and Palestine.

Barry Rosen holds a Master of City and Regional Planning (MCRP) degree from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained from 1979 to 1981. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Philosophy from Trinity College-Hartford between 1972 and 1976. Barry has also earned a certification as a Board Certified Coach (BCC) from the Center for Credentialing & Education in 2015.
