Sean O'Brien

Sean O'Brien is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in trading, compliance, and account management. Currently serving as the North American Head of New Accounts at Interactive Brokers since 2018, O'Brien previously held roles as Supervisory Principal and Compliance Officer at Piper Jaffray / Advisory Research Asset Management from 2014 to 2018, where oversight of trading operations occurred. O'Brien also contributed to establishing a Midwest presence for Wedbush Securities as a Supervisory Principal and Trader from 2013 to 2014. Earlier experience includes serving as an Institutional Equity / Derivative Sales Trader at Citi from 1999 to 2013 and as an Institutional Equity Sales Trader at Merrill Lynch from 1997 to 1999. O'Brien holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University.
