Captain Habib Khan is a management professional who has worked over 30 years in a healthcare organization and has global experience in diverse nature in strategic and operational planning and management, administration, quality management and biomedical engineering.
He joined IRD-Pakistan as the Chief Operating Officer because of IRD’s vision and the challenging role. In his role as COO, Captain Habib provides leadership and direction to HR, Administration and Finance departments of IRD Pakistan. He hopes to develop and strengthen each of these departments so they can continue to support program teams in implementation. Habib Khan also serves as the Global HR Director, overseeing HR functions across all offices.
Prior to IRD, Habib was associated with the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) and worked on multiple partnership projects. Habib started his career as a Biomedical Engineer and served for 18 years while also participating in institutional activities. In September 2015, Habib he worked at Habib University as the Head of Administration & Campus Services; Before this he served Dolmen Group (Pvt.) Ltd for seven months and held the responsibility of Centre Manager (General Manager), Dolmen City Clifton.
Habib has Master of Science (Computer Science) from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi and Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) from Dawood College of Engineering & Technology of NED University of Engineering & Technology. Additionally, he is a Certified Risk Analyst from International Academy of Financial Management; Certified Project Management Professional (PMP); Certified Quality Professional and Certified ISO 9000 Lead Auditor. Immediately after his graduation, Habib’s patriotism exhorted him to serve Pakistan Army as a Captain in the Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (EME) Corp. for three years and was posted in the 7 Anti-Aircraft Workshop Company, as Workshop Officer.
He likes to spend his leisure time with his family, listen to talk-shows and watch cricket matches.
