Lisa Shirey, SHRM-SCP has held a variety of roles in the Human Resources field since 1997. Lisa began their career as a Payroll Operations Administrator at First of America Bank Corp, where they managed a team of eight employees and processed payroll for over 9000 employees located in five states on a bi-weekly basis. In 1999, they transitioned to the Arizona Cardinals as a Payroll Administrator, where they processed a weekly payroll for players and a semi-monthly payroll for office staff. From 2000 to 2005, they worked as a Payroll Accountant at Houston's Restaurants, where they processed payroll for 3,600 employees in 15 states on a weekly and bi-weekly basis. From 2005 to 2008, they served as a Grants and Payroll Specialist at the County of Allegan, where they processed payroll for approximately 400 employees on a bi-weekly basis and prepared and submitted financials for various state and federal grant programs. From 2008 to 2016, they worked as an HR Analyst (working as HR Manager 2013-2016) at the same organization, where they were promoted to Human Resources Manager in August 2013 and was in charge of a team responsible for Payroll, Benefits, Employment and Recruitment, and Wellness. In 2016, they began their current role as Director of Human Resources at InterCare Community Health Network.

Lisa Shirey, SHRM-SCP obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a focus in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University in 1999. In 2021, they obtained their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, as well as their SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM.
