Tenita Foston, DNP has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Tenita began their career as a Nurse Practitioner at Emory Healthcare in 2005, where they worked until 2011. In 2011, they joined Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a Nurse Practitioner and worked there until 2013. Tenita then moved to AbbVie in 2014, where they initially worked as a HCV Sales Specialist before transitioning to a Medical Science Liaison in 2016. In 2017, Tenita joined Intercept Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Medical Science Liaison and worked in that role until 2022. Tenita then became an Executive Medical Science Liaison at the same company. Currently, Tenita holds the position of Director of Medical Science Liaisons at Intercept Pharmaceuticals, starting in April 2023.

Tenita Foston, DNP began their education at Tuskegee University, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from 1990 to 1994. Tenita then pursued further education at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, where they completed their Master's of Science in Nursing degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from 1998 to 2000. Tenita's education journey culminated in their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Family Practice Nurse/Nursing from The University of Alabama, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018.
