Marcus Fagerlund

COO & Deputy CEO at InterEast

Marcus Fagerlund has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Their most recent role is as the COO of InterEast, where they are responsible for all operations and senior management, reporting to the Group CEO. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Operations at InterEast, where they were responsible for operations management team and offices in multiple countries. Marcus also worked as a Product Manager at InterEast, where they focused on developing logistics solutions.

Before joining InterEast, Marcus served as a Member of the Board at Åkeredsradhus Ekonomisk Förening, where they oversaw a community of 244 households. Marcus also worked at DB Schenker i Sverige, where they held the roles of Terminal Operations Process Specialist and Department Manager. In these positions, they ensured efficient terminal handling operations and managed supply chain management for a large import/export gateway and a transit terminal.

Earlier in their career, Marcus worked as a Warehouse Manager at Gerflor, where they managed daily warehouse operations and implemented Lean solutions for continuous improvement. Marcus also held various roles at APM Terminals, including Operations Execution Manager and Equipment Dispatcher, where they managed terminal operations and coordinated equipment usage for efficient logistics processes.

Marcus Fagerlund's education history includes various programs and certifications. In 2019, they attended Dalarna University, focusing on Industrial Economics with a specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. In 2014, they studied Quality Engineering with a focus on Benchmarking at Mittuniversitetet. In 2012, Marcus pursued a field of study in Supply Chain Management at Linnaeus University.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Marcus has also obtained several certifications. In August 2022, they completed the "Kommunikation och Ledarskap" program at Dale Carnegie Training. In February 2018, they obtained the "Developing Leadership" certification from DB Schenker i Sverige. In August 2017, they completed the "Leadership - Basic Course" at the same institution. Marcus gained expertise in lean management by obtaining the "LEAN SixSigma - Green Belt" certification in October 2013 and "LEAN SixSigma - Yellow Belt" certification in May 2013 from APM Terminals. Furthermore, they also achieved the "Kaizen Facilitator" certification from APM Terminals in August 2013.
