Stephanie Tan

Stephanie Tan has a diverse work experience in the field of biochemistry. Stephanie is currently employed as a Chemical Biologist at Interface Biosciences since June 2022. Prior to this, they were a Ph.D. Candidate in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto from September 2016 to April 2022, where they also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant from January 2017 to December 2020. Stephanie also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto under Dr. Justin Nodwell from May 2015 to December 2015, and as a Thesis Research Student under Dr. Gerry Wright at McMaster University from September 2014 to April 2015. Furthermore, they gained experience as a Research Assistant under Dr. Richard Hegele at the University of Toronto from January 2014 to August 2014. Stephanie began their career as a Pharmacy Assistant at Pharmasave Drugs (National) Ltd. from September 2008 to December 2013.

Stephanie Tan began their education at McMaster University in 2011, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with a specialization in Biomedical Research. This program also included a co-op component. Stephanie completed their undergraduate studies in 2016.

Following the completion of their bachelor's degree, Stephanie went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto, starting in 2016. Stephanie is currently continuing their doctoral studies, with an expected completion date in 2022.
