Hussam M. Azzam

Hussam M. Azzam, MD, MMedEd, FAcadMEd, FRCOG, FRCSC, FACOG, CCPE, currently serves as Executive Medical Director of Clinical Operations and Executive Medical Director of Primary, Community, and Maternity at Interior Health Authority since August 2023. In academia, Azzam holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of British Columbia and has been an Associate Professor at the University of Manitoba since February 2009. Azzam has also contributed as a surveyor for Accreditation Canada and as a Director on the Board of the Society of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of Canada, and has held various leadership roles in different organizations. Azzam's educational background includes degrees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medical Education, and Medical Law & Ethics from prestigious institutions.
