Daniel Coney

Daniel Coney has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and investigations, currently serving as a Senior Investigator in the Energy Investigations Unit at the U.S. Department of the Interior since December 2015, specializing in energy-related fraud. Previously, Daniel held roles at the U.S. Department of Commerce as Acting Special Agent in Charge, overseeing extensive investigations related to diverse federal programs, and at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a Special Agent, focusing on fraud investigations in healthcare. Earlier positions include serving as a law enforcement specialist in the United States Air Force and as a police officer with the Raytown Police Department. Daniel holds multiple degrees including a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Accounting from Georgetown University and a Master's degree in Acquisition Management from American Graduate University, along with various certifications in federal governmental accounting and organizational leadership.
