Brandon Petty

Principal Software Architect at Interlace Health

Brandon Petty has a diverse work experience in the software industry. Brandon is currently working as a Principal Software Architect at Interlace Health since November 2021. Prior to this role, they took a Sabbatical Leave in the year 2021 and worked as a Chief Leisure Officer where they gained skills in various areas such as violin, Ancient Hebrew, watch repair, machine learning with Tensorflow, and also contributed to a tech start-up in Miami as an Advisor.

Before their sabbatical, Brandon worked at Interlace Health (formerly Formast) from 2015 to 2020 as a Principal Software Architect. In this role, they led the effort to completely rearchitect their platform and product line and was responsible for building a scalable dockerized NodeJS/Express microservice platform leveraging Kafka, OpenID Connect authentication flow, and cloud technologies. Brandon also played a significant role in designing and implementing their mobile application.

Brandon's work experience also includes a role as a Software Architect at Lexmark (formerly Perceptive Software) from 2006 to 2015. Brandon started their career as an intern at Computers & Tele-Comm, Inc. in 2004 and then joined Cerner Corporation as an intern from 2000 to 2002.

Brandon Petty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Missouri University of Science and Technology from 2003 to 2005. Brandon later pursued a Master of Theological Studies degree at the Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2017, they obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification in Programming in C# from Microsoft.
