Jasmine Rivera serves as Co-Executive Director and Director of Communications for Rising Voices, a nonprofit focused on empowering Michigan's Asian American women and families since June 2020. Rivera has had a long-standing affiliation with the Interlochen Center for the Arts as faculty since June 2015, and has held various roles in film and theater, including Director, Writer, and Producer for Anawim Productions since 2007, and Director for the Williamston Theatre from February 2022 to May 2023. Additionally, Rivera taught film production, screenwriting, directing, and producing at Wayne State University from September 2012 to May 2020 as Teaching Faculty and as an Adjunct Professor. Early career experiences include serving as a Junior Professional Fellow in Media at the United Nations University and as a Law Clerk at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Educational credentials consist of an MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University and a BA in International Relations from Michigan State University.
