Ahmet Kandakoglu

Ahmet Kandakoglu is a Senior Manager in Data Science and Advanced Analytics at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since February 2023, focusing on developing data science products for the air transportation industry and providing consultancy services. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Lead Data Scientist at SITA, as well as academic roles such as Part-time Professor and Researcher at the University of Ottawa, where Kandakoglu taught various analytical courses and developed optimization models. Additional roles include a Staff Officer in the NATO Airborne Early Warning and Control Force and Senior/Lead Operations Research positions within the Turkish Air Force Command, emphasizing decision-making support through advanced analytics and modeling. Kandakoglu holds a Post Doctorate in Operations Research & Management, a PhD in Industrial Engineering, and has extensive experience in developing analytical models and managing complex IT programs.
