Kat Owens is an experienced Yoga Therapist currently working with the International Association of Yoga Therapists since November 2021, and a Certified Yoga Instructor since April 2016. Previously, Kat served as an Advocate Counselor at Good Shepherd Services from August 2010 to June 2015, where responsibilities included managing a caseload of at-risk students, providing academic and vocational support, and facilitating group counseling sessions. Additionally, Kat spearheaded the Aiming High after-school program for middle school students at MS447 in the Bronx, overseeing recruitment and parent engagement. Kat holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Rights & Social Justice from Humboldt State University, obtained between 2008 and 2010.
