Michael McMillan

Michael (Mike) McMillan currently serves as the Middle School Principal at the American School of Dubai since August 2022 and is also a Building Quality Curriculum Reviewer for the International Baccalaureate since June 2017. Prior to his current roles, Michael held various leadership positions including Secondary Principal and Middle School Principal/MYP Coordinator at Vientiane International School from July 2019 to August 2022, and Assistant Principal, MYP Coordinator, and MYP Humanities Teacher/Personal Project Coordinator at the American International School Kuwait from August 2014 to July 2019. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as a World Studies Teacher and Department Chair at Simcoe County District School Board from September 2000 to July 2014 and as a Teacher with Kivalliq School Operations from August 2003 to June 2005. Michael holds a Master of Education in International School Leadership from Charles Sturt University and both a Bachelor of Education in History/English and a Bachelor of Arts in History/English from Western University and King's University College, respectively.
