Tamara Novis has extensive experience in education and media, currently serving as a Lecturer and Senior Teaching Fellow at SOAS University of London since August 2016, while also holding positions as an Associate Lecturer and Teaching Fellow at UCL since September 2019. As the Founder and former Director of Alumot, a Hebrew-speaking community and school in Cambridge established in April 2017, Tamara has made significant contributions to Hebrew education. Additionally, Tamara teaches Hebrew literature and language for the International Baccalaureate across several international schools in Europe and was the Lead Assessment Writer for A-level modern Hebrew exams at AQA from February 2019 to March 2022. Previous roles include working as a UK Foreign Correspondent for Channel 10 News Israel and various teaching positions at educational institutions focused on English language and media studies. Tamara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies from Tel Aviv University, a CELTA Certificate from EC English Language Centres, and a degree in Journalism from Koteret School of Journalism.
