Catherine Mutava

Catherine Mutava is a prominent tax law expert with extensive experience as a Partner at Lexlink Consulting since November 2015, providing thought leadership in tax research and advisory. Currently serving as a Member of the Tax Appeals Tribunal and as the Associate Director of the Tax Research Centre at Strathmore University, Catherine focuses on enhancing tax literacy through research, training, and consultancy. Catherine's role as an Author, Editor, and Correspondent for IBFD involves monitoring and reporting on tax developments. Past positions include Tax Associate at Iseme Kamau & Maema Advocates and a Tax Advisor at KPMG Kenya, complemented by academic contributions as an Adjunct Lecturer at Riara University. Catherine holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Taxation from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi.
